In loving memory of Mark Hobson

This site is a tribute to Mark Hobson. Those of us who knew him were truly blessed to have him in our lives. He made friends easily, wherever he went and his outlook on life was not to dwell on the things he couldn’t do but to concentrate on the things that he could!

Family and friends would describe Mark as friendly, easy going, thoughtful, kind, considerate, humorous and stoic.

Please feel free to share your memories of Mark on this page.

Mark came into my life when he and his beautiful brother John came together after years of not being in contact. John was very proud of his brother and so wanted to make up for lost time. John was planning to take Mark to a West Ham match and so wanted to be a big part of Mark's life. I fell in love with Mark the very first time I met him. We met at his lovely mum Sylve's home every few weeks. John, Mark, Sylve and I had many times at Marks mum's home and went out for meals together. It was always so nice being together enjoying each other's company. Mark was one in a million, he always saw the best in people and in life. When John was tragically killed in a road accident, I was blessed that Sylve and Mark were happy for me to continue to be part of their lives. Mark became such a big part of my life, he helped me through many tough times as I did him. We grew to love each other very much. Mark was a true inspiration, he had to live with so many disabilities, never moaning or complaining. He always made the best of life against so many odds, he gave the word bravery a new meaning. I am proud, grateful and honoured to have been part of his life. I will love and remember him forever and pray he is happy and in the arms of his brother John enjoying a new kind of life, disability free. If I were to describe Mark to someone who wasn't lucky enough to know him, I would say Mark was a wonderful kind, brave, positive, loving, beautiful, sensible man, one in a million. A man who I was lucky enough to call MY BROTHER IN LAW. God bless you and give you all you deserve Mark. Until we meet again. xxx
